Covid-19 Phase 2 Opening Business Protocol/Guidelines:
A. Control access
Open during opening hours. No access beyond that for fight team. Staff present during all hours of operation (interns, owners or instructors).
All staff will ensure that disinfection of equipment is being performed after each use.
Twenty-four hour unrestricted facility access without staff present on site is not allowed.
B. Limit occupancy
Staff will be given appropriate time between classes to clean all equipment.
No more then 2 people in the change room at all times.
Please keep 2 m between each individual when on premises and entering the facility.
A booking system through mind body will be used to allocate the number of patrons in the gym at one time. All clients MUST download the Tristar Vancouver martial arts app in the apple or android App Store In order to sign up for classes and reserve their spot. C. Signs will be posted at the main entrance and through out the gym advising patrons of the health protocols surrounding COVID 19 as well as on our website at www.tristarvancouver.com
D. Screen arriving patrons
Patrons will be asked the following questions when they arrive:
Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite.
Are you, or anyone you are living with, sick, self-isolating, or quarantined?
Any patron who answers ‘yes’ to the questions above, WILL NOT be permitted to enter the facility. It is recommended that anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 call 8-1-1 for guidance.
If a member or employee is feeling ill or displaying signs or symptoms of illness while at work. They must inform their supervisor, Wash their hands, put their mask on, Maintain social distancing of 2 metres from everyone else and go home immediately.
Anyone under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate must follow those instructions
Anyone who has arrived from outside of Canada, or who is a contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, to self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms. And must inform your supervisor/place of work upon return from travel.

E. Manage customer entry points
Markers will be placed two metres apart from one another at entrances, exits and within the gym to provide patrons with visible queues that encourage physical distancing.
F. Tristar Vancouver would prefer that our patrons use a form of contactless payment. However, we will still be accepting cash if necessary.
If an employee/staff/patron handles cash, hands must be washed immediately and surrounding areas that were touched disinfected (including cash box and key).
G. Tristar Vancouver will be providing hand sanitizer stations and hand-washing stations for patrons and their use is mandatory.
There will be hand sanitizer and disinfectant solution to sanitize hands and wipe down gear after every training session and use
It is mandatory to clean your training gear after every use/ training session using the provided cleaners/disinfectants.
All patrons and staff must wash their hands upon entry of the gym as well as before and after each class.
All parents must help/assist their children sanitize their hands properly for at least 30 seconds.
There will be no communal sharing of training gear until further notice (gloves, kick shields, pads, shin guards, head gear etc.).
If a member is doing back-to-back training sessions or multiple training sessions, clothing and training attire must be changed and a new garment must be worn. Hands must be washed and hygiene must be taken care or accordingly.
All clients/patrons/staff must Disinfectant/ wipe down all equipment before after being used by the patron using the provided paper towel and cleaning disinfectant solutions.
H. Tristar Vancouver martial arts will be using certified SARS-COV-2 disinfectant to sanitize and clean the facility and all equipment.
Cleaning will include but is not limited to, mats, equipment, gear, bathrooms, hard to reach areas, heavy traffic areas such as; weights, door knobs, light switches, desks, counter tops etc.
Tristar Vancouver will be using a disinfectant spraying wand to disinfectant and sanitize all the harder to reach areas, including weights and all gym equipment etc.
I. Where possible, Tristar Vancouver will be increasing the space between cardio machines to achieve a minimum of two metre distancing between users
Note: where this is not possible, please be courteous of your fellow patrons and make sure you are distancing yourselves 2m between using the cardio equipment.
J. Encourage physical distancing and discourage congregating
We ask that when you have finished your work out to please sanitize your hands and all appropriate equipment. When finished please exit the gym in order to avoid any unnecessary congregating of patrons.
K. Tristar Vancouver will be reinstating our Group classes! In order to do so, all patrons must remain two metres from one another at all times during a class.
Classes will be scheduled to allow staff adequate time to disinfect equipment and surfaces before and after each class.
